Zmijanje embroidery (Zmijanski vez) is a distinctive style of embroidery unique to this region of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is due to be inscribed on the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage in October 2014. Radenka Jungić is the country’s leading Zmijanje embroidery artist, and her work has won numerous awards.
