One of my favourite images from the incredible Battle of Waterloo 200th anniversary reenactment in Belgium, which took place over two days and involved over 6,000 reenactors, 330 horses, 120 cannon and 2,600kg of gunpowder, and was watched by some 200,000 spectators. Pictured here, cannon firing during the reenactment of the Allied counterattack (Saturday 20 June 2015). © Rudolf Abraham

An enormous thank you to the wonderful Belgian Tourist Office for inviting me along.
Stunning image Rudolf. The piece in question is the 6lbr of ‘Sandhams’s’ No. 9 Company, 3rd Battalion, Royal Foot Artillery.

Thank you John for the links – I’ve added the correction to the link in your first comment. There are some more images of the same piece in action here http://rudolfabraham.photoshelter.com/gallery/BELGIUM/G0000FdeLQ2vwo1Y/ Quite a show they put on, wasn’t it!
