Kernave was first settled around 9000 BC and the series of mounds here – site of the former Lithuanian capital, sacked by the Teutonic Knights in 1390 – are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Shot last year on a visit to Lithuania to coincide with the epic Lithuanian Song and Dance Celebration in Vilnius.
