Mykines

A couple of shots from the island of Mykines in the Faroe Islands, which we reached today by helicopter from Vagar – a place of huge cliffs and innumerable seabirds amid a seething North Atlantic swell, where locals still lower themselves by rope over the cliffs to take gannets for food. Thanks to Harald Joensen and his wife for company, information and delicious soup.
